How Can We Prepare Our Next Generation For The Ever-Changing Future Of Work?
With the emergence of technology, globalised teams, and flexible working options over recent years, the workforce is transforming rapidly. We know that many of the roles being advertised today did not exist five years ago.
Employers across the country and around the world are calling out for top young talent to join their teams, and it's up to us as educators to ensure that we are preparing our students with the skills to not just survive, but to thrive, in the workforce of the future.
Our Future Leaders Program has been designed to show students the exciting opportunities available to them in a diverse range of industries, whilst also helping them develop their skills to build their network, access opportunities, and build their personal brand as young professionals in their chosen fields.
Delivered as part of the Innovation In Education Festival, the Future Leaders Program will see students from schools across Perth come together for an action-packed day of skill-building and networking as they hear from leading industry speakers, and start to think about how they can explore their passions as they turn them into viable career pathways.

Community Leadership
Block 1: 9:00 am - 10:30 am
To start the day we looked at how we as young leaders can make a difference in our local community. During this activity, students heard from a panel of leading industry innovators before then identifying ways to solve challenges in their community.

The Future Of Work
Block 2: 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
From there, we will be looking at how the future of work is set to change, and some of the exciting opportunities available for young people over the next 20-30 years. In this session we'll be debating ethical challenges with technology and exploring the 100 jobs of the future.

Block 3: 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
To finish the day, we'll be building our personal brands as young professionals in our chosen fields as we look at how we can turn our skills into viable career pathways. We'll be identifying our skills, passions and values before bringing those together to create our personal brands.
